Used Boat Sales
Used Boat Sales - a wide variety of powerboats and tenders.
A current list of the used boats and tenders we have for sale is always available from the office - 01548 843838 or Email. The larger boats are posted on the boatshop24.co.uk website with pictures and full descriptions. Our brokerage service is described below.
Buying
Our aim is to provide buyers with confidence that their new boat is seaworthy, operational and is being bought at the right price. Where a buyer wishes to make an offer for a boat, we will always contact the owner.
Most of the boats we offer for sale have been maintained and stored with us from new so we have an in-depth knowledge of their service history and usage. Where we are aware that a boat is being sold with defects, we will always advise a potential buyer of these.
All our sales and other activities are conducted under the standard terms of business issued by the British Marine Federation.
Selling
We provide a professional brokerage service for new and existing customers (with boats sold by us) who wish to sell their boats and engines. Some boats are displayed in our Salcombe showroom but all are easily accessible to potential buyers. Boats and engines are advertised on sales boards and on the boatshop24.co.uk website.
Through this site we have sold Salcombe-based boats throughout Europe. We charge a commission of 10% plus VAT on the agreed sale price of all used boats and engines.
For this commission we:
- Prepare the boat for sale so that it is ready for use (repairs and engine maintenance would be extra).
- Advise on method of marketing and advertised sale price.
- Prepare advertising materials.
- Post advertisements on our sales boards and on the boatshop24.co.uk website.
- Contact potential buyers held on our database.
- Conduct viewings (afloat, in storage and in the showroom).
- Negotiate a sale value (by contacting the owner and agreeing a deal).
- Conduct a hand-over once a deal has been agreed
